ㅤbiography.ㅤ oliver saint laurent was born in baton rogue, louisana to wealthy parents. the laurent family had quite the reputation to them that usually accompanied them in every single step they took. though oliver would be their only son, he would soon be thrust into a coven of witchcraft he didn't know about.
at the age of 14, oliver witness his family partaking in some sort of ritual that ended in a sacrifice. oliver has carried that burden with him through every aspect of his life. however, this dark ritual would only go down in the history as the second worst night of his life as the first was just looming beyond the doors of the laurent estate.
by 18, oliver was graduated from high school and aiming at college. he wanted to leave louisana behind, especially after witness the dark ritual performed by his family but instead of panicking them, he told them he'd be moving to new orleans to continue his studies. and what better city than the city of souls and voodoo to understand the wicked powers his parents possessed. he knew digging into this world would end with him finding information he wanted no part to, but at least it would soothe the scream that clawed in his lungs from the death of an innocent person who begged for mercy and life.
but only 2 months after leaving baton rogue and moving to new orleans, the laurent family estate burned down with oliver's entire family and the coven they had trapped inside. deemed a complete accident and terrible tragedy, oliver now raced against time to figure out this dark magic before it consumed him as well. it would be by a voodoo priestess that he'd learn his family was dealing with the shadows and the devil and that oliver was now marked for death. the voodoo priestess spent days cleansing his soul and making him vow to never touch the darkness like his family had.
now renewed and with light magic coursing through his veins, oliver lives in new orleans under a new alias so no one comes looking for him. covenless and fearful of the darkness that lurked on every street corner and darkened alleyway, he parades through the street as another other louisana born baby; with the spirits as his guide.
